3 tablespoons of butter 2 cups of sugar 2 cups of Persimmon pulp 2 cups of chopped nuts 1 cup of raisins 1 cup of chopped dates 1 tablespoon of Orange peel 4 cups of sifted flour 4 teaspoon of soda 3 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of cloves 1/2 teaspoon of allspice 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg 1 cup of milk 2 teaspoon of vanilla |

Cream butter and sugar. Add persimmon pulp and nuts, raisins, dates and orange peel. Sift flour, soda and spices. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla. Pour into 2 well greased loaf pans 9 x 3 and bake at 300ºF. for 1 3/4 hours or until a cake tester comes out clean. Let cool.
