Almond Bars

Crust  
1 cup of butter
2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
Filling 
8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/2 cup of  sugar
1 teaspoon of almond extract
Frosting
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
1/4 cup of butter
1 1/2 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon of almond extract

From: prkenne@lims01.lerc.nasa.gov (CAROL SHARP) Date: 18 Nov 1993 07:58 EST Here are two of my family's favorite Christmas cookies: Crust: Mix well and pat into even layer in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake crust at 350ºF.  for 20 to 25 minutes. Filling: Beat together well and pour over crust while it is still hot. Bake 15 to 20 minutes (350ºF. ). Cool. Frosting: Whisk together and spread evenly on baked, cooled cookies. Cut into bars - makes 24 to 36 bars.
