Christmas Preserves
2 oranges 4 cups of cranberries 3 cups of sugar 1 cup of raisins 1/4 teaspoons of salt 1/2 cup of chopped nut meats |

Grate the rind of the oranges and remove the white membrane from the pulp. Cut pulp in small pieces. Add 2 cups water to peel and pulp and cook for 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except the nuts and boil over high heat to jelly stage. Add nuts and boil 5 minutes. Pour into hot jars and seal. |
