Peel the cucumbers and slice thin. Layer cucumbers in a medium size bowl. Cover with 3 cups of water or enough to cover, and 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Chill. Pour off salted water and rinse in clear water. Drain. Blend sour cream, vinegar, and sugar. Fold into cucumbers. Serve with a sprinkling of salt and pepper. |
