Cucumbers in Sour Cream

3 medium size cucumbers
1/2 cup of sour cream
2 tablespoons of cider vinegar
1 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper 

Peel the cucumbers and slice thin. Layer cucumbers in a medium size bowl. Cover with 3 cups of water or enough to cover, and 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Chill. Pour off salted water and rinse in clear water. Drain. Blend sour cream, vinegar, and sugar. Fold into cucumbers. Serve with a sprinkling of salt and pepper.
