| Harvard Beets
2 1/2 cups of sliced beets 2/3 cup of sugar 4 teaspoons of cornstarch 1/2 cup of vinegar 1/2 cup of beet liquid 2 tablespoons o margarine |

Combine the sugar and cornstarch. Stir into vinegar and beet liquid. Stir over low heat until thickened. Add beets and margarine. Heat slowly. Serves 10
