Porter Beef (Irish)
2 pounds of rib steak 1 1/2 pounds of onions 1/2 pound of mushrooms Seasoned flour 10 fluid ounces of Guinness or other stout 10 fluid ounces of Stock or water Pinch of nutmeg Salt and pepper Fat for frying |
Instructions:
Cut meat into fairly large chunks and roll in seasoned flour. Brown in hot fat and remove from pot. Chop onions roughly and fry gently for 2-3 minutes. Return meat to pot. Add all other ingredients.
