Onion Buttered Sirloin Basic-Recipes.com9/21/06

1/2 cup of butter or margarine
1/4 cup of snipped parsley
1/4 cup of minced onion
2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon of dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
one 4 pound bone in sirloin steak, about 1 1/2 inches thick

In a small saucepan, combine the butter or margarine, snipped parsley, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard and freshly ground pepper. Heat together until the butter melts.

Slash the fat edges of sirloin steak at 1 inch intervals to prevent steak from curling. Place on rack in broiler pan. Broil 3 - 4 inches from heat for 7 - 8  minutes on each side for rare or 10 -12 minutes on each side for medium, brushing with butter mixture. Place on platter; spoon the remaining mixture over. Serves 8
