Cherry Almond Pastry

2 cups of flour
3/4 cup of butter or margarine
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/3 cup of sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup of maraschino cherries, cut up
1/4 cup of almond slices
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
 

Combine flour, butter, sugar and salt. Beat on low speed of mixer until particles are fine. Press 2/3 of the mixture firmly into bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 375ºF. for 15 minutes. Blend together cream cheese, sugar and egg until smooth and creamy. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 375ºF. for 25-30 minutes or until light golden brown.
