Liver, Cheese, & Onions

1 cup of chicken broth or water
1 tablespoon of cornstarch or 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of margarine or oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 pound of liver, cut into strips

In a large bowl, mix broth or water, starch or flour, sugar and soy sauce. Set aside. Heat oil or margarine in a skillet; add onions and cook until onions are browned. Add liver. Cook about 5 minutes until browned. Stir in liquid mixture and bring to boil. Lower heat and cook liver 2-3 minutes. Serve.
