Holiday Ham Slice with Cinnamon Apple Rings
one 1" thick fully cooked ham slice 1/4 teaspoon of hot sauce CINNAMON APPLE RINGS 24 Whole cloves 3 medium cooking apples, unpeeled, cored and cut into 1/2" rings 2 cups of water 1 cup of Red cinnamon candies 1/2 cup of sugar |

Slash fat along edges of ham to prevent curling. Spread hot sauce over surface of ham, and place in a lightly greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish. Bake at 325ºF. for 25 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 140ºF. Transfer to a serving platter; serve with Cinnamon Apple Rings. Yield: 6 to 8 servings. CINNAMON APPLE RINGS: : Stick cloves into apple rings. Combine water and candies in a large skillet; bring to a boil, stirring until candies dissolve. Add apple rings; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or just until apple rings are tender, turning several times. : Remove apple rings from skillet. Add sugar to skillet, and bring to a boil; boil 3 minutes. Pour syrup over apple rings, turning to glaze both sides. Cool slightly. Yield: 8 servings.
