2 tablespoons of brown sugar 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar 1 cup of ketchup 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of Chinese hot mustard 1 large garlic clove, minced 1 tablespoon of soy sauce 1 to 3 teaspoons of Asian chili paste with garlic |

Combine all ingredients except chile paste in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then turn off heat. Stir in chili paste. Makes 1 1/4 cups. To use: Brush on chicken, beef or pork while grilling. |
