Pastry Crust 1

1 1/2 cup of flour
1 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of safflower oil
2 tablespoons of skim milk

Combine flour, sugar and salt. Mix together oil and milk; add to flour. Using fork or pastry blender, work mixture into soft dough. May add more milk if needed. Form a ball, then roll out on well floured board. Place in 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 450ºF. for 10-12 minutes. Yields one 9 inch pie crust.

Pastry Pie Crust

2 cups of lour
1 cup of shortening
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of  vinegar in 1/3 cup of  milk

Cut shortening into flour and salt. Add milk. Shape into 2 balls of dough. Makes 2 single crusts or enough for a double crust pie.
