Mika's Lasagna Casserole

Mika's Lasagna Casserole

2 teaspoons of olive oil
1 pound of hamburger
one 20 ounce can of tomatoes
one 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of oregano
8 ounces of 1 1/2 inch lasagna noodles
3/4 pound of mozzarella cheese
3/4 pound of ricotta or cottage cheese
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese

 

Heat in skillet olive oil, add the chopped meat and brown. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the noodles in salted boiling water until tender. Drain and rinse. fill rectangular casserole dish with alternated layers of noodles, sliced mozzarella, ricotta, meat and tomato mixture, grated parmesan. Bake for 30 minutes in moderate oven at 350ºF. Serves 6.
