| Hamburger Roll Ups
Filling: 1 medium onion, sliced 1 tablespoon of shortening 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef 4 tablespoons of flour 1 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 1 cup of beef bouillon, stock or milk |

Brown onion in shortening, add ground beef and brown well. Sprinkle flour over meat, blending thoroughly, add seasonings. Add bouillon, stirring constantly until gravy thickens. Cool. 6 servings 2 1/2 cups of sifted flour 4 teaspoons of baking powder 1 teaspoon of salt 5 tablespoons of shortening 3/4 cup of milk
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening, add enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll in rectangular shape to 1/4 inch thickness, spread with cooled hamburger filling. Roll as for jelly roll and cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces. Place cut side down, in greased baking pan and bake at 400ºF. for 25 - 30 minutes. Serve with catsup or a cream sauce. If preferred, make a mushroom or tomato sauce by combining a can of condensed soup with 1/2 cup o milk. 6 servings
