Add the egg yolk and flavorings, beat well. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, add to creamed mixture, beating well. Shape the dough into 1 inch balls, place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Press each with a fork to flatten. Bake at 300ºF. for 20 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Remove the cookies to wire racks, and cool completely. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies
