Festive Raspberry Frappe
4 packages of frozen whole red raspberries, plus syrup
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cups of heavy cream, whipped
1 pint of vanilla ice cream, softened
Puree thawed raspberries and syrup in blender or food processor, strain to remove seeds. Combine the puree with lemon juice and sugar. Stir in whipped cream and ice cream, chill. Fill individual serving dessert bowls, serve ice cold.
Raspberry Frappe 2
1 1/2 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of fresh raspberries
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 egg white
1 cup of crushed ice
In covered blender on high speed, blend orange juice, raspberries, sugar and egg white about 30 seconds. Gradually add ice, blend until thick and frothy; pour into glasses. Makes 4 servings.
Raspberry Frappe 3
1/2 to 1 cup of frozen raspberries
1 cup of buttermilk
In blender, combine fruit, buttermilk, dash vanilla extract, Equal to taste and 3 - 4 ice cubes. Blend well until ice is crushed and drink is frothy.
