Chocolate Wafer Pudding

One 3 1/4 ounce package of vanilla pudding and pie filling
2 cups of milk
8 chocolate wafers
1 cup of whipped cream
2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup   

Prepare the pudding with 2 cups of milk according to package directions. Cover surface of pudding with waxed paper or plastic wrap, refrigerate until cool. Alternate layers of chocolate wafers and pudding in a 1 quart casserole, ending with vanilla pudding. Garnish with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup. Serves 6 - 8
