Instructions: Prepare the pudding with 2 cups of milk according to package directions. Cover surface of pudding with waxed paper or plastic wrap, refrigerate until cool. Put 1 slice of banana in each of 4 serving dishes. Top with 3 scoops of ice cream, cover with 1/4 of pudding, sprinkle with pineapple tidbits and pecans. Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry. 2-3 bananas 1/2 gallon of Neapolitan ice cream 1 cup of chopped nuts 1 cup of chocolate chips Vanilla wafers for crumbs (1 box) 1 pint of whipping cream 1/2 cup of butter 2 cups of powdered sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
Cover bottom of 11 x 15 inch pan with wafer crumbs. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for top. Slice ice cream in 1/2 inch thick slices and place on bananas. Sprinkle ice cream with chopped nuts. Freeze until firm. Melt chocolate chips and butter. Then add 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk. Cook mixture until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool and pour over ice cream. Freeze until firm. Whip cream until stiff. Spread over chocolate layer and top with reserved crumbs. Store in freezer. Remove shortly before serving. Will keep for several weeks. Makes about 25 servings. Banana Split Ice Cream
4 bananas, mashed One 10 ounce frozen strawberries (run through food processor) One 10 ounce jar of cherries, drained and chop in processor 6 ounces of pecans, chop in processor 2 cups of half and half 1 1/4 cup of sugar 6 cups of milk 1 can of sweetened condensed milk 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 teaspoon of vanilla 4 eggs
Separate eggs. Beat whites until frothy. Add sugar gradually. Add yolks and beat. Add all milk but half and half. Pour egg mixture into a saucepan, stirring constantly. Heat until mixture is warm and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and half and half. Then add fruit and pecans. Pour into freezer and freeze as any other ice cream. Delicious!
Banana Split 4
1 pint of strawberry ice cream 1 pint of chocolate ice cream 1 pint of vanilla ice cream 4 medium bananas 1 tablespoon of lemon juice 1 cup of whipping cream 1 tablespoon of sugar 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract 2 tablespoons of walnuts, chopped 10 maraschino cherries 1 can of chocolate syrup
Place strawberry ice cream in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to soften slightly. Slice ice cream and place in bottom of 9x13" pan. Freeze until firm, about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, place chocolate ice cream in refrigerator to soften. Slice chocolate ice cream and spread over strawberry. Freeze until firm. Meanwhile, soften vanilla ice cream. In large bowl, mash 3 bananas with lemon juice, stir in vanilla ice cream. Spread banana mixture evenly over chocolate layer. Cover and freeze at least 3 hours. To serve, mix at medium speed the whipping cream, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Place whipped cream in a decorate bag fitted with large 1/2 writing tube. Invert ice cream cake from pan onto chilled platter. Slice remaining banana on top of cake. Pipe large dollops of whipping cream on top of banana slices. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and garnish with cherries. Serve with chocolate syrup. Makes 10 servings.
Banana Split 5
4 eggs 1 1/4 cup of sugar 6 cups of milk 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 can of sweetened condensed milk 2 cups of half and half 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract 2 bananas, chopped One 10 ounce jar of maraschino cherries, rinsed, drained and chopped
Beat eggs with electric mixer at medium speed until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick. Add 6 cups milk and salt; mix well. Pour egg mixture into large saucepan and place over low heat; cook, stirring constantly until thoroughly heated. Combine egg mixture, condensed milk, half and half and vanilla. Stir well. Add fruits. Pour into 4 quart freezer can and freeze.
Banana Split Dessert
2 cups of graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup of sugar 1 stick butter, melted Two 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened 2 cups of powdered sugar 4-5 bananas, sliced 1 large can of crushed pineapple, well drained 1 extra large tub of tub Cool Whip
Mix first 3 ingredients together. Pat into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake 5 minutes at 350ºF. Cream together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Spread over crust mixture while hot. Layer bananas and pineapple. Spread Cool Whip on top. Refrigerate. Serves 12.
