| Sugar Free Cheese Biscuits
3 cups of flour 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon of chives 3/4 cup of shortening 1 cup of milk
In a large bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Stir in cheese and chives. Cut in shortening until mix is coarse. Stir in milk. Form a soft dough. Turn out on floured board and give dough 8 kneads. Pat dough to 3/4 inch thickness and cut out 2 1/2 inch biscuits. Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 400ºF. for 20 minutes until golden. Makes about 1 dozen
