Low Calorie Jam French Toast Triangles

Categories: Low Calorie, Preserves, French Toast, Whole Wheat

1/4 cup of preserves, any flavor
6 slices of whole wheat bread
6 tablespoons of egg substitute
1/4 cup of skim milk
2 tablespoons of margarine
1 tablespoon of  sugar
1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Divide and spread preserves on 3 bread slices; top with remaining bread slices to make 3 sandwiches, pressing to seal. Cut each sandwich diagonally in half. In medium bowl, combine egg product and skim milk. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture to coat. In skillet or on griddle, over medium-high heat, brown sandwiches in margarine until golden brown on both sides. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over sandwiches. Garnish and serve. Makes 6 servings.
