Low Calorie Oriental Vegetable Salad


 

Low Calorie Oriental Vegetable Salad

Categories: Low Calorie, Oriental Vegetable, Salad, Bean Sprouts

1 cup of water chestnuts, sliced thin (1 sm. can)
1 cup of  celery, diced
1 small  jar of pimentos, chopped (2 oz.)
1 large onion, diced
1 green pepper, sliced or diced
1 can of bean sprouts
1 can of shoepeg corn
1 can of carrots, sliced
1 can of French green beans
1 can of peas

Place all vegetables in bowl.

Combine the following in a saucepan and bring to a boil:
1/2 cup of  water
1/2 cup of  salad oil
5 packets of  Sweet 'n Low
5 packets of  Equal
1 cup of white vinegar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
Dash of Tabasco

Pour mixture over vegetables. When cool pour in large jar, cover and refrigerate. Makes 3 quarts.
