Low Calorie Glorious Beans

Categories: Low Calorie, Baked Beans, Garbanzo Beans

1 green pepper, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 large onion, chopped
1 large. clove garlic, minced
one 16 ounce can of Vegetarian baked beans
one 16 ounce can of drained kidney beans
one 16 ounce can of drained garbanzo beans
one 8 ounce can of drained water chestnuts
2 tablespoons of  water
3/4 cup of  "No salt added" catsup
2 tablespoons of  brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
1/2 tablespoon of  Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon of pepper

In 3 quart casserole add green pepper, onion, garlic and water. Cover, cook on high in microwave 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Drain water. Stir in all beans and water chestnuts. Mix sauce ingredients and pour over beans. Mix thoroughly, cover, cook in microwave on medium low heat for 24 minutes. Stop and stir once after 12 minutes.

Serves 15 per 1/2 cup serving: 136 calories, 2 grams fat, 1 mg cholesterol, 359 mg. sodium.
