| Chocolate Pound Cake
Cake:
3 cups of flour 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/2 cup of cocoa 1/8 teaspoon of salt 1 1/2 cup of butter 1/2 cup of shortening 3 cups of sugar 5 eggs 1 1/4 cup of milk 2 teaspoons of vanilla 1 box powdered sugar |

Frosting:
1/4 cup of cocoa 4 cups of powdered sugar 1/2 cup of butter 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
Cake: Sift flour, baking powder, 1/2 cup cocoa and salt together. Cream 1 cup butter, shortening and granulated sugar together. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour mixture. Stir in teaspoon vanilla. Beat in milk until smooth. Bake at 325ºF. 1 hour 15 minutes. Frosting: Mix cocoa and sugar; cream cocoa and sugar with butter. Blend in vanilla and milk to desired spreading consistency; adding milk if needed. |
