Buttermilk Corn Bread

3/4 cup of Lysine cornmeal
1 cup of white flour
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of soda
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons of melted margarine

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Stir together cornmeal, flour, sugar and salt. Set aside. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Add beaten egg and melted margarine, stir until mixed, then add to dry ingredients and mix well. Turn into greased 9x9 inch pan or into greased muffin pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and done.
