1 1/2 pounds of plums, halved and pitted (about 9 plums)
3 cups of water
3/4 cup of sugar
dash of salt
1 1/2 cups of seedless grapes, pulled from stem
1 1/2 cups of fresh pineapple chunks
1 1/2 cups of fresh peach or pear slices
Vodka

In saucepan, mix plums, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to boil and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes or until plums are tender. Cool slightly. Pour plum mixture into blender container. Whirl smooth. Pour into 3-quart serving bowl. Chill. At serving time, add fruits, and vodka to taste. Ladle into dessert bowls or punch cups. Serve with cheese and crackers as a first course, or as dessert. Serves 6 to 8.
