Spareribs with Bourbon

6 pounds of lean spareribs or country ribs
2 cups of catsup
2/3 cup of bourbon
1/2 cup of molasses
1/2 cup of vinegar
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced




Combine all ingredients except ribs. Set aside. Place ribs on a roasting pan and bake at 425ºF. for 30 minutes. Pour off excess fat. Pour 1/2 sauce over ribs. Bake at 325ºF. for 45 minutes. Dip ribs in remaining sauce. Grill over low fire 30 minutes more. Yield 6 servings  Plain Text - Print
