12 to 16 (2 1/2 to 3 pounds) of drumsticks 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted Hickory Barbecue Sauce
To broil chicken: Preheat broiler if necessary. Place the drumsticks in shallow foil lined pan, brush with butter. Place the drumsticks 5 inches below the source of heat. For a gas range, set thermostat at 450ºF. leave door slightly open. Broil for 20 to 15 minutes. For electric range, broil 20 to 25 minutes. Turn the drumsticks, broil 15 to 20 minutes. Brush with Barbecue Sauce, broil 5 minutes, turn and brush again. Continue broiling about 5 minutes or until the chicken is browned.
To grill chicken: Preheat grill or prepare and light charcoal. Brush the drumsticks with melted butter. Place the drumsticks on grill 5 inches above source of heat. Grill for 20 to 25 minutes. Turn drumsticks, grill 15 to 20 minutes. Brush with Barbecue sauce, grill 5 minutes, turn and brush again. Continue grilling about 5 minutes or until chicken is browned.
